Sahih Muslim 5077
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ - حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ ذَبَحَ أَبُو بُرْدَةَ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَبْدِلْهَا " . فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ عِنْدِي إِلاَّ جَذَعَةٌ - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَأَظُنُّهُ قَالَ - وَهِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُسِنَّةٍ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اجْعَلْهَا مَكَانَهَا وَلَنْ تَجْزِيَ عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ " .
Translation
Rapporté par Al-Bara’ ibn Azib : Abu Burda a sacrifié son animal avant la prière de l’Aïd. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Offre un autre animal à la place, car ton sacrifice n’est pas valable. » Il a répondu : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je n’ai qu’une chèvre de moins de six mois. » Shu’ba (un des rapporteurs) a dit : « Je pense qu’al-Bara’ ibn Azib a aussi dit : “Elle est meilleure qu’une chèvre d’un an.” » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Offre-la à la place, mais après toi, cela ne suffira pour personne. »
