Sahih Muslim 5598
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى الْعَنَزِيُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ نُمَيْرٍ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمْتُ نَجْرَانَ سَأَلُونِي فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَى قَبْلَ عِيسَى بِكَذَا وَكَذَا . فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَمُّونَ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَهُمْ " .
Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] dan [Muhammad bin 'Abdillah bin Numair] dan [Abu Sa'id Al Asyaj] dan [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna Al 'Anazi]; Dan lafazh ini miliknya Numair ia berkata; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Idris] dari [Bapaknya] dari [Simak bin Harb] dari ['Alqamah bin Wail] dari [Al Mughirah bin Syu'bah] ia berkata; Ketika aku mendatangi kota Najran, para penduduknya bertanya kepadaku; Sesungguhnya kalian membaca "wahai saudara Harun", padahal Musa hidup sebelum Isa berjarak beberapa tahun.' Maka ketika aku datang kepada Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, aku menanyakan hal itu kepada beliau, dan beliaupun menjawab: 'Dulu mereka memberi nama dengan nama-nama para Nabi mereka dan orang-orang shaleh dari kaum sebelum mereka
