Sahih Muslim 5043
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ مَضَبَّةٍ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا أَوْ فَمَا تُفْتِينَا قَالَ " ذُكِرَ لِي أَنَّ أُمَّةً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مُسِخَتْ " . فَلَمْ يَأْمُرْ وَلَمْ يَنْهَ . قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ عُمَرُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَنْفَعُ بِهِ غَيْرَ وَاحِدٍ وَإِنَّهُ لَطَعَامُ عَامَّةِ هَذِهِ الرِّعَاءِ وَلَوْ كَانَ عِنْدِي لَطَعِمْتُهُ إِنَّمَا عَافَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Terjemahan
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Abu 'Adi] dari [Daud] dari [Abu Nadlrah] dari [Abu Sa'id] dia berkata, "Seorang laki-laki bertanya, "Wahai Rasulullah, sesungguhnya saya hidup di negeri yang banyak biawaknya, maka apa kiranya yang anda perintahkan kepada kami?" Atau, "Berilah kami fatwa mengenainya!" Beliau bersabda: 'Telah disebutkan kepadaku bahwa anak cucu Bani Israil telah dirubah bentuknya menjadi hewan.' Beliau tidak memerintahkan kami (memakannya) dan tidak pula melarangnya." [Abu Sa'id] berkata, "Beberapa saat setelah itu, [Umar bin Khattab] berkata, "Sungguh, dengannya Allah benar-benar memberi manfaat tidak hanya untuk satu golongan, dia adalah makanan kebanyakan para pengembala ini. Sekiranya daging tersebut ada di sini niscaya saya telah memakannya, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memberi keringanan untuk daging itu
