وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَقِيتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " يَا جَابِرُ تَزَوَّجْتَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " بِكْرٌ أَمْ ثَيِّبٌ " . قُلْتُ ثَيِّبٌ . قَالَ " فَهَلاَّ بِكْرًا تُلاَعِبُهَا " . قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي أَخَوَاتٍ فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُنَّ . قَالَ " فَذَاكَ إِذًا . إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ تُنْكَحُ عَلَى دِينِهَا وَمَالِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا فَعَلَيْكَ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ " .
Traduction
Rapporté par Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah رضي الله عنهما : Je me suis marié du vivant du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Je l’ai rencontré et il m’a dit : « Jabir, t’es-tu marié ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Il a demandé : « Avec une vierge ou une femme déjà mariée ? » J’ai dit : « Avec une femme déjà mariée. » Il a dit : « Pourquoi n’as-tu pas épousé une vierge avec qui tu aurais pu t’amuser ? » J’ai répondu : « Ô Messager d’Allah, j’ai des sœurs et j’ai eu peur qu’une jeune fille ne s’entende pas avec elles. » Il a dit : « Très bien, si c’est ainsi. On épouse une femme pour quatre raisons : sa religion, sa richesse, sa lignée et sa beauté. Choisis donc celle qui a la religion. Que tes mains soient couvertes de poussière. »
