The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Send abundant blessings upon me on Friday, for your blessings are presented to me.'
Deeds are presented on Friday, and the salawat of the ummah reach the Prophet ﷺ. Each single salawat is returned tenfold in blessings from Allah upon the one who sends it.
The complete form is the Salawat Ibrahimiyyah recited in the prayer. Shorter forms such as 'Sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam' are also valid throughout the day.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammad, kama sallayta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.
