Congratulations on the New Born - More Details

When congratulating someone on the birth of a new baby, it is important to remember to make dua for the baby and the parents. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us to recite the Adhan (call to prayer) in the baby’s right ear and the Iqama (second call to prayer) in the left ear, as soon as possible after the birth. This is a way of welcoming the baby into the Muslim community and reminding them of the importance of prayer.

In addition to this, it is recommended to recite the following duas for the new baby:

1. “Allahumma barik lahu fihi wa ahyihi wa amitthu wa a’fu anhu” (O Allah, bless him in his life, and in his death, and forgive him).

2. “Allahumma innee as’aluka khayrahu wa khayra ma jabaalta hu lahu wa a’oodhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri ma jabaalta hu lahu” (O Allah, I ask You for the best for him and the best of what You have decreed for him, and I seek refuge in You from his evil and the evil of what You have decreed for him).

3. “Allahumma inni as’aluka imanan yabqaa wa yarfa’u wa amalan salihan yatba’u” (O Allah, I ask You for faith that remains and is raised, and for righteous deeds that follow).

It is also important to make dua for the parents, asking Allah to bless them with patience, strength, and guidance in raising their child. May Allah bless the new baby and their family with happiness, health, and success in this life and the hereafter.
