حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ أَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَجَعَلَ الْجَنَادِبُ وَالْفَرَاشُ يَقَعْنَ فِيهَا وَهُوَ يَذُبُّهُنَّ عَنْهَا وَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأَنْتُمْ تَفَلَّتُونَ مِنْ يَدِي " .
Translation
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Muhammad bin Hatim] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Mahdi] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Salim] dari [Sa'id bin Mina] dari [Jabir radliallahu 'anhu] dia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Perumpamaanku dengan kamu sekalian ialah bagaikan seorang yang menyalakan api. Maka serangga-serangga beterbangan menjatuhkan diri ke dalam api itu. Orang tersebut berusaha menarik mereka dengan api dan mereka berusaha mengalahkannya. Dan aku, telah mencegah kamu semua agar tidak jatuh ke api, tetapi kamu meloloskan diri dari tanganku
