وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " لَوْ أَنَّ لاِبْنِ آدَمَ مِلْءَ وَادٍ مَالاً لأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ إِلَيْهِ مِثْلُهُ وَلاَ يَمْلأُ نَفْسَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلاَّ التُّرَابُ وَاللَّهُ يَتُوبُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ " . قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَلاَ أَدْرِي أَمِنَ الْقُرْآنِ هُوَ أَمْ لاَ . وَفِي رِوَايَةِ زُهَيْرٍ قَالَ فَلاَ أَدْرِي أَمِنَ الْقُرْآنِ . لَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ .
Terjemahan
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Zuhair bin Harb] dan [Harun bin Abdullah] keduanya berkata, Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hajjaj bin Muhammad] dari [Ibnu Juraij] ia berkata, saya mendengar ['Atha`] berkata, saya mendengar [Ibnu Abbas] berkata; saya mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Andai kata manusia itu telah mempunyai harta benda sebanyak satu lembah, mereka masih ingin untuk mendapatkan satu lembah lagi. Tidak ada yang dapat memuakan nafsunya melainkan hanya tanah (maut). Dan Allah menerima taubat siapa yang bertaubat kepada-Nya." Ibnu Abbas berkata; "Saya tidak tahu, apakah hal itu dari Al Qur`an ataukah tidak." Sementara dalam riwayat Zuhair ia mengatakan; "Saya tidak tahu, apakah itu termasuk ayat Al Qur`an." Ia tidak menyebutkan Ibnu Abbas
