وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لأَبِي بَكْرٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، سَمِعَ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ حُنَيْنٍ، - وَهُوَ مَوْلَى الْعَبَّاسِ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ كُنْتُ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ، عُمَرَ عَنِ الْمَرْأَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ تَظَاهَرَتَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَبِثْتُ سَنَةً مَا أَجِدُ لَهُ مَوْضِعًا حَتَّى صَحِبْتُهُ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بِمَرِّ الظَّهْرَانِ ذَهَبَ يَقْضِي حَاجَتَهُ فَقَالَ أَدْرِكْنِي بِإِدَاوَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا فَلَمَّا قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ وَرَجَعَ ذَهَبْتُ أَصُبُّ عَلَيْهِ وَذَكَرْتُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَنِ الْمَرْأَتَانِ فَمَا قَضَيْتُ كَلاَمِي حَتَّى قَالَ عَائِشَةُ وَحَفْصَةُ .
Traduction
Rapporté par Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه : J’avais l’intention d’interroger Omar رضي الله عنه au sujet des deux femmes qui avaient insisté auprès du Prophète ﷺ pour obtenir plus de biens matériels durant sa vie, mais j’ai attendu un an sans trouver d’occasion. Un jour, alors que je voyageais avec lui vers La Mecque, il s’arrêta à Marr al-Zahran pour satisfaire un besoin naturel et me demanda de lui apporter de l’eau. Je le fis, et après qu’il se fut purifié, je commençai à verser de l’eau sur ses mains et ses pieds. Je me souvins alors de cet épisode de séparation entre le Prophète ﷺ et ses épouses, et je lui demandai : « Commandeur des croyants, qui sont ces deux femmes qui ont insisté auprès du Prophète ﷺ pour obtenir plus de confort matériel ? » Je n’avais pas fini de parler qu’il répondit : « C’étaient 'Aïsha et Hafsa. »
