حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ، اللَّهِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ، - رضى الله عنهما - رَجُلاً يَقُولُ اللَّيْلَةَ لَيْلَةُ النِّصْفِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَا يُدْرِيكَ أَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ النِّصْفُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا " . وَأَشَارَ بِأَصَابِعِهِ الْعَشْرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " وَهَكَذَا " . فِي الثَّالِثَةِ وَأَشَارَ بِأَصَابِعِهِ كُلِّهَا وَحَبَسَ أَوْ خَنَسَ إِبْهَامَهُ " .
Translation
Rapporté par Sa’d ibn Ubaida : Ibn Umar (qu’Allah les agrée tous les deux) a entendu une personne dire : « Cette nuit est la moitié du mois. » Il lui a alors dit : « Comment sais-tu que c’est la moitié du mois ? Car j’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : “Le mois est ainsi et ainsi” (et il a montré avec ses dix doigts deux fois) “et ainsi” (c’est-à-dire la troisième fois, il a montré tous ses doigts mais a replié ou plié son pouce). »
