Sahih Muslim 2510
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُرَيْثٍ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، - رضى الله عنهما - يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ " . وَطَبَّقَ شُعْبَةُ يَدَيْهِ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ وَكَسَرَ الإِبْهَامَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ . قَالَ عُقْبَةُ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ " الشَّهْرُ ثَلاَثُونَ " وَطَبَّقَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ .
Translation
Rapporté par Ibn Umar (qu’Allah les agrée tous les deux) : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Le mois (de Ramadan) peut avoir vingt-neuf jours. » Shu’ba (un des rapporteurs) a montré comment le Prophète ﷺ l’a expliqué en ouvrant ses mains trois fois et en repliant son pouce la troisième fois. Uqba (un autre rapporteur de cette chaîne) a dit : « Je pense qu’il a dit que le mois compte trente jours et a ouvert sa paume trois fois. »
