Sahih Muslim 1955
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، . أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، بَيْنَا هُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَنَادَاهُ عُمَرُ أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ هَذِهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي شُغِلْتُ الْيَوْمَ فَلَمْ أَنْقَلِبْ إِلَى أَهْلِي حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ فَلَمْ أَزِدْ عَلَى أَنْ تَوَضَّأْتُ . قَالَ عُمَرُ وَالْوُضُوءَ أَيْضًا وَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْغُسْلِ .
Translation
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه alors qu'il donnait un sermon : Un des Compagnons du Messager d’Allah ﷺ entra (dans la mosquée) pendant qu’Omar parlait aux gens le vendredi. Omar lui dit à haute voix : « Pourquoi arrives-tu à cette heure pour la prière ? » Il répondit : « J’étais occupé aujourd’hui et je ne suis pas rentré chez moi quand j’ai entendu l’appel à la prière du vendredi, alors je n’ai fait que les ablutions. » Omar lui dit alors : « Seulement les ablutions ! Tu sais pourtant que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous a ordonné de prendre un bain le vendredi. »
