When completing ablution (2)

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Transliteration

Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan-abduhu wa rasuluhu, Allahummajalni minat tawwabin, waj’alni minal mutatahhirin.

Translation

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure.

O Allah, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.

غُفۡرَانَکَ

I ask You (Allah) for forgiveness.

When starting ablution

بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ

In the name of Allah.

Ibn Majah: 397

When completing ablution (1)

When given a drink

اللَّهُمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِي وَأَسْقِ مَنْ أَسْقَانِي

O Allah! Feed him who fed me and give him drink who gave me to drink.

Sahih Muslim: 2055 (a)

Before Sleeping (1)

بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

In Your name my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants.

At-Tirmidhi: 3401

Before Sleeping (4)

بِاسْـمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

In Your name O Allah, I live and die.

Sahih Al-Bukhari: 6324

When you wake up (1)

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیۡ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.

Sahih Al-Bukhari: 6312

For protection from ignorance

اَعُوۡذُ بِاللّٰہِ اَنۡ اَکُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجٰہِلِیۡنَ

I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant.

Surah Al-Baqarah - 2:67

When Leaving Home (1)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ تَوَكَّلْـتُ عَلَى اللّٰهِ، لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُـوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللّٰهِ

In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah; there is no might and no power but in Allah.
