اِنِّيْ عُذْتُ بِرَبِّيْ وَرَبِّكُمْ مِّنْ كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُو͏ٔ͏ْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ

Transliteration

Innee 'uztu bi Rabbee wa Rabbikum min kulli mutakabbiril laayu'minu bi Yawmil Hisaab

Translation

Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account.

Notes

This dua was made by Prophet Musa (AS) when Pharaoh ultimately decided to kill him. It teaches us to seek Allah's protection when facing powerful, arrogant, and oppressive enemies. By putting complete trust in Allah, Musa (AS) was miraculously saved, and Allah parted the sea for him. Recite this dua when you feel threatened or overwhelmed by an unjust authority or an arrogant individual.

رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Our Lord, You did not create this [universe] in vain. Exalted are You! So protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Surah Al-Imran 3:191

Protection from Hellfire (2)

رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ

Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers.

Surah Al-Imran 3:192

Protection from Hellfire (3)

رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا

Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is a lasting torment. Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence.

Surah Al-Furqan 25:65-66

Protection from Oppressors & Wrongdoers (1)

رَبَّنَآ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلظَّالِمِ أَهۡلُهَاۤ وَٱجۡعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّ۬ا وَٱجۡعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا

Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper.

Surah An-Nisa 4:75

Protection from Oppressors & Wrongdoers (2)

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا مَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.

Surah Al-A'raf 7:47

Protection from Oppressors & Wrongdoers (3)

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the wrongdoing people. And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.

Surah Yunus 10:85-86

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجۡعَلۡنِى فِى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

My Lord, do not place me among the wrongdoing people.

Surah Al-Mu'minun 23:94

Protection from Oppressors & Wrongdoers (5)

رَبِّ نَجِّنِي مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people.

Surah Al-Qasas 28:21

Protection from Oppressors & Wrongdoers (6)

رَبِّ ٱبۡنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيۡتٗا فِى ٱلۡجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِى مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَعَمَلِهِۦ وَنَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.

Surah At-Tahrim 66:11
